    Event Descriptions

December 2nd, Experience the Nativity - 12:00 noon, join us for a free luncheon at the church in the lower level (undercroft) as we engage with the visual art of the nativity creche. Lunch will feature nativity creches from members of the church, and then after lunch we will all head down to the University of Dayton Library and view their world renown Nativity collection.

December 9th, Experience Messiah - Join us at our 10:30 worship servcie which will feature selections of Fredrick Handel's masterpiece, "Messiah", as we engage in the musical arts. Many may have heard some of these amazing works of song/music, but few get the opportunity to hear them live in person.

December 16th, Experience Bethlehem -  This is a two part journey into the performing arts of advent. Part 1 is the annual Children's Christmas Pageant, "How Far is it to Bethlehem" which will be performed during out 10:30 service at the church. Part 2, 5:00 to 8:00pm, open house style, is an immersive journey back to ancient Bethlehem where our entire lower level will be transformed into a Bethlehem marketplace. There will also be a live Nativity in front of the church. When you arrive you will check in with the Roman census centurion and recieve a punch card for each of the market place stalls. Then tour the market and experience the sights, sounds, smells, and even tastes of ancient Bethlehem, and turn in your "Roman census" punch card to receive a special Bethlehem Christmas ornamenent.
