    Health & Well-Being Seminar

    Saturday October 26th, 9:00am – Noon, in the Parish Hall

     

    In order to minister to the whole person, body, mind, and spirit, this seminar offers three sessions each taught by a local, board certified doctor, addressing an area of personal health.  

     

    Session 1: Healthy Living – Dr. Alok Agrawal

    Session 2: Dementia – Dr. Anoopa Hodges

    Session 3: Know Your Numbers – Dr. Mamle Anim

     

    Each session will be approximately 30 to 40 minutes with Q&A at the end and a short break in between sessions. All sessions will be in the Parish Hall and refreshments provided. This event is free and open to the parish and community, but we do ask that you sign up so we can plan appropriately for seating and refreshments. To sign up please call the church office, 434-1781 and indicate how many will be attending.

     

    Our Presenters:

    Dr. Alok Agrawal, MD, FASN, FNKF, is a board certified kidney specialist, and a clinical associate professor at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. He is a huge advocate of healthy lifestyles and obesity prevention and treatment. He conducts healthy lifestyle clinics around Dayton where he focuses on diet and exercise to control and prevent chronic diseases.

     

    Dr. Mamle Anim, MD, FACP, is a board certified internist and associate professor at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and Chief Medical Officer at the Five Rivers Health Centers. She teaches and supervises medical residents and students in their ambulatory clinics. Her primary care practice is at Wright State Physicians, and she has special interests in health maintenance, women’s health, and disease prevention.

     

    Dr. Anoopa Hodges, DO, is a board certified doctor of internal medicine, with a local practice at Oakwood Primary Care in Dayton. She focuses on providing preventative care medicine and possesses expertise in managing acute and chronic illness in the adult population, including geriatrics.
