A Walk With God in the Garden

Passage:Genesis 3:8-15

Preacher: Ben Phillips

God is omnipresent, therefore question is not, where is God, geographically, but how is he present with us relationally. In Genesis 3:8-15, for Adam and Eve God's presence was at first good, but after they disobeyed his presence was frightening. What changed? God's law did not change, nor did the consequences of breaking that law, and a relationship with God based on the law does not lead to life. However God also speaks a word of Gospel promise in the midst of the curse we read in this passage - what is this promise and what did it mean for Adam and Eve, and what does it mean for us today?
