Discipleship: The Markers of Mission

In Luke 13, Jesus is warned by the Pharisees that Herod is seeking to kill him. As is often the case, Jesus' response is not what we expect. He describes the markers of his mission: namely casting out demons, healing, and ultimately his death and resurrection. Last week's sermon discussed the mission of the church, as given to us by Jesus himself, which is to make disciples of all nations. Today we shall look at some of the key markers for both the individual Christian and the Church by which to live into the disciple-making mission of God. Those key characteristics are: Worship-Love-Learn-Serve.
