The Mystery of Paradox in the Life of the Redeemed

Passage:Romans 7:15-25

Preacher: Ben Phillips

Category: Theology & Doctrine

Romans chapter 7 provides us with an unparalleled view into the heart and nature of those who are redeemed in Christ Jesus. Many aspects of Christian doctrine require a paradox of mystery to reveal the truth. For example the Trinity, the Sacrament of Bread & Wine in the Eucharist, the sovereignty of God in the elect. We also find this doctrinal reality in Christians who are at the same time sinners and justified through faith in Christ. Not half sinner half justified, but fully sinner and fully justified. this mystery of the nature of the redeemed gives us powerful insight into who we are in Christ, how we relate to one another within the Church, and how we view the culture around us.
