When Good is Bad

Passage:Philippians 3:4

Preacher: Ben Phillips

In this letter to the Philippians, St. Paul describes that it is not just the 'bad' things he has done that damages his relationship with God, but sometimes it is the 'good' things we do, or think we do, that can blind us to our need for God. Righteousness, a right relationship with God, comes not through the good things we do, but through faith in Christ. We are told to consider such things as rubbish, compared to knowing Christ and the righteousness that comes from God through faith.
