3 Feasts: Ascension, Pentecost, & Trinity

The Easter Season lasts 50 great days! Towards the end, we mark the Ascension of Christ to the right hand of God the Father (not his shooting up into outer space, but his entrance into God's throne room, there interceding for us). We'll celebrate the Feast of the Ascension on Sunday, May 16.
On the 50th Day of Eastertide, we celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit as described in Acts 2. This was an empowering and commissioning of the apostles to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth, to share the good news of God's mercy and reconciling love in Jesus for all people. We celebrate the Feast of Pentecost on Sunday, May 23.
On the next Sunday, May 30 we celebrate the Holy Trinity -- that God has made himself known to us as a perfect community of love: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; three in one and one in three.
