ST. GEORGE’S Spaghetti Dinner & Silent Auction

Mark your calendar now: Saturday, January 26, 2019.

E  All proceeds benefit our parish's outreach to those in need in Dayton, across the U.S., and around the world.

E  Volunteers are needed for various jobs.

E  Ticket sales begin following services on December 30.

The Spaghetti Dinner Kitchen Cooking and Clean Up Crews are looking for a few new members with strong arms, strong backs, and good knees!  Without an infusion of some committed fresh faces, we may need to switch to a pot luck or catered event format, which would reduce ticket proceeds for our Social Issues Ministry by about $1,200.

During December and January, please include boxes of pasta and jars or cans of sauce among your donations to fill the red wagons in the Narthex.  We will set them aside to use as centerpieces on the tables and send them on to the food pantry after the dinner.

*To volunteer to keep the super-sized pasta pots boiling and the kitchen clean, contact Julie Powers at or 602-1335 by December 9. (critical need for volunteers by then!)

*Gather items to put in the Silent Auction and give your donations directly to Bryan or Susan Daly.  Letters to solicit businesses and/or acknowledge donations for tax purposes are available. Contact Bryan and Susan Daly at 306-8462 or to make arrangements.

*If you are artistically inclined, volunteer to provide face painting for children during the Spaghetti Dinner. (Lea Craine will be making balloon creations.) Contact Thelma Best at 434-5486 or .
