St. George's Day (observed)
Our patron saint's feast day is April 23rd, and we will be observing/celebrating St. George during worship services on Sunday, April 22nd. To learn more about St. George click here
Marking the occasion will be our guest scholar,Dr. Wes Hill, Professor of New Testament at Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry. Dr. Hill will be preaching at both 8am and 10:30am services. At 9:30, he'll be giving a talk in the parish hall: "The Great I Am - Crucified?" (this will replace the regular Rector's Bible Study). Dr. Hill is a candidate for the Episcopal priesthood in his home Diocese of Tennessee. A noted scholar and author, Wes was voted by Christianity Today magazine as one of their 33 under 33 to watch in 2014. Dr. Hill's presentation is intended complement our John for Everyone parish wide Bible reading program, which will formally conclude at the end of May.
