Benjamin T. S. Phillips
Rector
The Rev. Ben Phillips has been the rector of St. George’s since 2010. Prior to serving in Dayton he was an associate rector at a large Episcopal parish in Houston, Texas. He earned his Masters of Divinity at Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, Pennsylvania (near Pittsburgh), and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arizona. Ben and his wife have been married since 2006 and have three children.
Ben is a classically Protestant Anglican with a deep love of the gospel, the Reformation, and the reformational roots of the Episcopal Church. In his spare time Ben lifts weights, brews beer, plays guitar, is a consummate movie buff, and enjoys reading theology, history, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings.
