Conquest Transformed

Christ's triumphal entry was certainly a theatrical moment, and no one could miss that his entry to Jerusalem was meant to summon up image of David, the great king.  David had conquered that same city a thousand years before Christ's Incarnation.  But what does Christ's conquest look like?  What does it mean for God to lay siege to his creation?
