"In the Begining was the Word" Teaching Session Dr David Watson

As part of our JOHN for EVERYONE spring program, we welcomed the Rev. Dr. David Watson to teach and preach on Sunday, Jan 21.  Dr. Watson serves as academic dean and professor of New Testament at United Theological Seminary and the recording here is of his teaching session on the prologue to John's Gospel (chapter 1).  It is a rich reflection on John's drawing on many places in the Old Testament (for example Proverbs) to rightly understand Jesus as the Word made flesh, as that true light that shines in darkness, a light that the darkness cannot overcome.  Later in the April, Dr. Wes Hill will join us for another round of guest teaching.  Come and join us!
