New Creation

What is God doing with us, those of us who have been washed in the waters of baptism, who feed at his table, and who put our trust in Christ day by day?  Paul's answer is New Creation.  Our basic grammar as Christians is death and resurrection, and through those categories we start to see what Paul is talking about.  Perhaps to our surprise, there will many things about this world and our very selves to which God will ultimately say no.  While God speaks a resounding YES to the original beauty of his creation (still visible in us and in this world), many things will need to go to the tomb so we can rise anew.  New Creation, then, is about HOPE.
