The Feast of the Lord, Part 5 - Trumpets

Series: Feasts of the Lord

In the life of Ancient Israel, the Feast of Trumpets signaled the coming of God as King, exercising justice and dominion.  The days that followed were known as the Days of Awe and then came the Day of Atonement.  What are the connections between these feasts and Christ's royal entry to Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and his passion and atoning death at the end of the week on Good Friday?  Do we welcome our Redeemer King, the one who calls us by name and lays down his life for our sake?
