Transfiguration & Mission

We hear this powerful story of Jesus on the mountain, glowing radiantly white and surrounded by Moses and Elijah, not only at the end of Epiphany, but also in August, a time of year in the later summer when the church is usually focused on mission.  What does this story have to tell us about our mission?  It is that by knowing Jesus, we are empowered to share the good news of God's saving love with the whole world -- especially the young.
