Ash Wednesday Services - Noon & 7pm

The Season begins with Ash Wednesday on February 18th, wherein the tradition of Christians putting ashes on their foreheads in the sign of the Cross is done as a sign of our mortality and sinfulness. This beautiful service invites us to observe a holy Lent, a time of fasting and self examination, in preparation for the feast of Easter.
We have two services on Ash Wednesday, Noon and 7:00pm. Both services have the imposition of Ashes for all who wish to come forward as well as Holy Communion; the 7:00pm features the St. George's Choir.
The Rev. Dr. Cal Lane will lead an Ash Wednesday service at St. Francis' at 5:30pm.
